Development 101

Penticton Economic Development Services in partnership with the Urban Development Institute (UDI) and the City of Penticton will be hosting an "Open for Business" and Development 101 event Wednesday February 8th, 2012 promoting the City of Penticton as a development friendly city. The outcomes of this function are to get the development community together with the City to promote development in Penticton. The end goal is to foster a better working relationship with the development community and City planning and to improve customer services to spur on investment in our community.

FortisBC Public Information Session in Kelowna

A public information session will be held in Kelowna February 14, 2012 | 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 2429 Hwy 97 North to provide customers and stakeholders with an overview about an application FortisBC is filing with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC). The proposal is to amalgamate its three natural gas utilities into one legal entity, with common rates and services for natural gas customers across the province. Feedback received will be shared with the BCUC as part of the application process. LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Still Open

British Columbians that have not already accessed incentives from either the LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive program or the federal ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes program are still eligible to access the existing LiveSmart BC incentives. The first step to access LiveSmart BC incentives is to book a home energy efficiency evaluation by a certified energy advisor. No federal registration number is required to book an energy efficiency evaluation for homeowners who are only accessing the LiveSmart BC incentives.The LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive program will remain open for follow-up evaluations to assess upgrades until March 31, 2013.
