Approval of New By-Laws

 

The Board of Directors of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce recently completed a comprehensive review and revision of its operating By-Laws. This was undertaken to ensure the Chamber had appropriate alignment with the governing Board of Trade Act and with the context of business today.

  

Two draft versions of the revised By-Laws are being presented for consideration. These versions are identical with the exception of Article 5, Section 5.1 (Board of Directors Composition) and Article 6, Section 6.1 (Election and Succession to Office). Version A is scripted for no succession provisions. Version B is scripted to include succession provisions. In all other sections the By-Laws are the same.

 

Members are encouraged to read through the draft By-Laws below in their entirety and to give considerable thought to the succession provisions in preparation for the meeting.

Join us for our Holiday Open House and Member Showcase. Advertise your business with a display table and tour the building. Enjoy music, wine and conversations - a great place to pick up some last minute gifts. Find out what's happening in Penticton for the holidays!
 
To reserve a display table (must be a Chamber member), contact the Chamber office at 250-492-4103 or email admin@penticton.org
 
Details:
  • Tables are $75 + HST.
  • Set up times December 15 from 2 - 4 pm
  • Take down from 7 - 7:30 pm
  • Tables are 5 - 6' in length, plastic table cloths & chairs provided
  • Please do not bring extra tables to add on to your space
  • No extra power supplied
  • There is access to wireless internet
  • Showcasers are encouraged to bring a door prize
  • There will be no refunds once registered 
Deadline to reserve is Monday, December 12th at 4 pm. Payment is required at time of booking.

2011 Business Excellence Awards

"On Prosperous Tides" Excellence Awards

  

These awards recognize businesses and persons in Penticton & area that have achieved excellence in the community through their own abilities, efforts and initiatives.  This popular community event includes the awards ceremony, sit down dinner & silent auction.  

 

Tickets are $65 + HST or $480 for a table of eight. To purchase your tickets, please call Lisa at 250.492.4103.

  

Deadline for tickets is Friday January 20, 2012 at 4 pm.

 

There will be no tickets sold at the door so don't delay!
