Networking Tip
Use your existing ties. Start by tapping existing contacts, including friends, family and ex-colleagues. Spread the word that you are looking for a job and ask if anyone has a contact who might be able to offer advice. Then make sure to ask every person you meet for two or three more referrals.

Mindful Interactions

"The way we communicate with others and with ourselves ultimately Business Excellence Seminar Series

determines the quality of our lives"

Our daily interactions and conversations go smoothly when we are both in agreement, and conflict is not present. But when conflict/tension is present or if we are blindsided by an issue, how do we remain mindful and respectful in these conversations?

This seminar will provide participants with the opportunity to reflect on their personal and often unconscious responses and evaluate their effectiveness.

Participants will be provided with a number of communication skill sets to improve both their personal and professional interactions.

This is both an introductory and broad based approach to communication which makes it ideal for the workplace, personal and family settings.

Facilitated by Kerry Palmer, South Okanagan Mediation Services

To register, please call (250) 492-4103. Payment is required when registering.

Managing Social Networks With Ease
Business Excellence Seminar Series

Aimed at social networkers with moderate experience, this workshop will provide tips and tricks to managing social networks - whether you have one Twitter account, or multiple Facebook pages and Twitter personalities. Learn how to discipline yourself to update on a regular basis, keeping your accounts fresh and active, and well as set updates in advance using tools such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck.

We'll briefly cover creating marketing campaigns using these management tools, and answer the age-old question:  Were you really awake at 2am to send that Tweet? Social networks can be a great marketing communications tool, and this workshop will help you learn how to manage networks without letting them take over all of your valuable time.

To register, please call (250) 492-4103. Payment is required when registering.
