Business Luncheon 
Join us for lunch with Special Guest Derek Burleton, Vice President and Deputy Chief Economist TD Bank Financial Group. Derek will focus on the medium-term outlook for financial markets and the local-area economy.
Derek Burleton received his Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Recently, Derek was promoted to Vice President and Deputy Chief Economist to TD Bank Financial Group. In his current position, he heads a team that provides leading Canadian economic and financial analysis. Derek has also authored a number of reports that have generated considerable attention across the country, including: "A New Normal: Canada's Potential Growth During Recovery and Beyond," "The Coming Era of Fiscal Restraint" and "Canadian Household Debt a Cause for Concern." He is frequently called upon to speak to the media on economic issues and he gives numerous presentations to various groups within and outside TD.

Valley Wide Business After Hours
Tickets are now available for the popular Valley Wide Business After Hours, Thursday, May 12th at Gatzke Farm Market located in Lake Country. A limited number of tickets are available through each Chamber of Commerce in the Valley so book yours now to avoid disappointment. The Valley Wide Business After Hours runs from 5 pm to 7:30 pm and features a trade show with over 50 exhibitors as well as appetizers and beverages from local wineries and breweries. Tickets are $20 each including the appetizers and two beverages and must be purchased in advance. A bus will be available and will travel from Osoyoos to Lake Country to pick up Chamber members along the way; the cost is only $10 per person. So you can just sit back and enjoy the trip!
