Lead Paint Certification Class
MYTH: EPA is not enforcing this ruling
FACT: Yes, the EPA is enforcing the ruling.

The HBA is hosting a Lead Paint Certification Class Tuesday, February 7th.  7:30am-6:30pm. 

Deadline to sign up is this Friday, February 3rd.  

 

The EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) which affects renovations in pre 1978 homes went into effect on April 22, 2010 an update was made to the ruling and went into effect on October 1, 2011.

 

Who needs this training?

Anyone working for compensation in pre-1978 housing whose activities include disturbing painted surfaces is

subject to the rule, including but not limited to carpenters, HVAC workers, insulation installers, electricians, and plumbers. Visit http://www.epa.gov/lead/pubs/renovation.htm  for complete details on the rule.
