MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Pino L. Bacinello, CBI, M&AMI, Chair of IBBA and Chet Walden, CBI, M&AMI, Chair of M&A Source on behalf of their respective board of directors announce the joint boards' decision to switch to a new Association Management Company to better serve the respective Associations' member needs within the most current economic conditions.

 

Over the years, with changes in economies, board culture, governance and management styles, personalities and all at different rates of speed between IBBA, M&AS and our management company, we feel we have reached a point where the needs of our respective Associations are best served in this new relationship.

 

Since 1998 SmithBucklin has managed our Association, helping us navigate through great times, as well as challenging times faced by our profession. We the IBBA and M&AS board of directors, ask you all to join us in expressing our sincerest gratitude to the SmithBucklin staff, management and leadership for their hard work and dedication.

 

Your respective boards, ask that you join us in welcoming the staff, management and leadership of our new management company "Meeting Expectations Inc." with their headquarters in Atlanta Georgia.

 

At a recent meeting at their offices Chet and I came away impressed with their abilities, attitude and energy. We are confident in their ability to focus intently on making our collective future a success both operationally as well as financially.  

 

With full cooperation of the management and staff of SmithBucklin and total commitment from Meeting Expectations, we have begun the transition, and though none of us underestimate the complexity and challenges of a such a task and especially so close to our San Antonio Spring conference, all of us are committed to making this transition a total success.

 

You will receive periodic communication relating to the transition and status and anticipate it to be for the most part, fully transparent and where our Association's business will continue without interruptions.

 

We encourage you all to join us in San Antonio Texas the week of June 4th and meet our new Executive Director Karl M. Kirsch, CAE and his team, and help us make, and experience, the most energized and beneficial business brokerage and M&A conference we have ever attended.  

 

Come and learn, come and share, come and network. Come and tell us what your needs are at the town hall meetings so we can better serve your needs and where you have the opportunity to have one on one dialogue with the leadership. Come for the fun, the energy and to be a part of our collective success.
