It may be too soon to tell, but 2012 could be the best year of your life! It's up to you, really.  All of us are acutely aware of what we have no control over: natural disaster, government gridlock, global economic crisis, the stock market, tight corporate budgets, high unemployment, and other significant issues.  But, when it comes to two of the most important factors that will determine what kind of year we have, self-awareness and self-management, we have 100% control.

 

Where should you focus your self-awareness and self-management in order to maximize your 2012? Consider focusing on refining the following four characteristics of successful leaders:

 

1.     Honesty, truthful, high integrity

2.     Forward-looking, visionary oriented

3.     Competence, professional, to the future proficient.

4.     Inspiration, uplifting, enthusiastic

 

That's it! These four traits are so simple, yet so difficult.  It takes planning, time, and attention to detail, in order to start bringing these four characteristics into your personal, and business life.
