Greetings! This Sunday is the Blessing of the Tools and Toys of Summer. Bring Motor Homes, Fishing Poles, Gulf Clubs, Motor Cycles, Paint Brushes and Gardening Tools, etc. for a blessing as we prepare to enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan Summer. These are the gifts of God and reminders of God's love in our lives. We will gather in the parking lot for the final blessing and send you on your way, after we plant the flower beds at church, with God's blessings. This Sunday will also be the official Shorts and Sandals Sunday as we kick of summer in style. Our Web site is now up and running again. Check out some of the features at www.coslc.ws We continue our May food drive of collecting Fruity and Fresh canned foods through the end of the month. Starting in June the collection will be "Home for the summer " easy to fix meals for children. Some examples would be peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, etc. Don't forget this summers Lutheran Community Camp. It will be held at Birchwood camp just 19 miles from Anchorage on August 5-7th.
