Greetings!

 10:30 on Sunday we gather for worship

As we near the end of the Sermon on the Mount, we see that Jesus has moved from Blessed are you if you are down and out, Blessed are you if you try to make things better for others, Blessed are you if you take it in the neck for trying to do the God thing.  If you think you can make it on your own you are only loop hole jumping and paying games.  So don't let the powers put you down and don't play their game, you are a child of God, be free.  Practice a loving life toward those who would want to hurt you, we are talking about changing the world, not just your life circumstance.  So first and foremost, seek the Kingdom of God, everything else will fall into place. 

This Friday-New Wineskins Worship.  Together with the Presbyterians, Episcopalians, United Methodists and other Lutherans, we are invited to join together for a worship and celebration experience at St. John's United Methodists.  5:30 dinner, 6:45 gathering music, 7pm worship, 8pm dessert and conversation.  Lutherans are asked to bring dessert, seems we do that best.  Let us make a statement in Anchorage the exclusionary churches are not the only game in town.

This Sunday we begin a look at Thessalonians in Adult Education meeting at 9:30 in the Pastors office, and yes the coffee is on.
