Five students from E. D. White placed at the State Literary Rally, which was held at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 16.  They include (from left) Cameron Belding (1^st place - Algebra I), Dayla Rich (4^th place - English II), Taylor Degruise (4^th place - English IV), Kaylee Pitre (2^nd place - Family and Consumer Science), and Christopher Rodriguez (1^st place - Physical Science).  There were 78 events in the annual State Rally competition, and approximately 6,000 district winners advanced to the State Rally.

The annual Awards Convocation honoring members of the E. D. White Catholic High School National Honor Society, Student Council, and Key Club was held on Monday, May 2^nd at Envie.  Students receiving awards are (front row from left) Emily Albert (Scholarship Award - National Honor Society; outstanding senior - Key Club), Anthony Naquin (Leadership Award & Scholarship Award - National Honor Society), William Cavell (President's Service Award - Key Club; Service Award - National Honor Society), Alex Hymel (outstanding junior - Student Council), Hailey Theriot  (President's Service Award - Student Council), Kaitlyn Birdsong (outstanding chairperson - Student Council), and Celia Ordoyne (outstanding junior - Key Club).  Back row from left:  Tiffany Algu (outstanding sophomore - Key Club), Danielle Perque (outstanding senior - Student Council), Aubrey Ellis (Character Award - National Honor Society), Sydni Faucheaux (outstanding sophomore - Student Council), Elizabeth Ayo (outstanding honorary member - Student Council), Claire LeBeouf  (outstanding junior - Key Club), and Tabitha Kearns (outstanding 8^th grader - Key Club).  Not pictured:  Madeline Roth (outstanding freshman - Key Club).

The girls gymnastics team won the State Championship in the Girls Division III, Level 4 competition.  The best score earned by the each girl, out of 10 possible points, is as follows:  Kaitlin Adams (9.65 in the Vault); Lauren Bergeron (9.4 on the Uneven Parallel Bars); Mary Bergeron (9.55 on the Uneven Parallel Bars); Victoria Clapp (9.4 on the Balance Beam); and Courtney Troxclair (9.5 in the Vault).

Adam Lefort competed in the Boys Division III, Level 5 gymnastics competition.  He is the State Champion in both the Floor Exercise and in the High Bar, scoring 14.4 and 13.8, respectively, out of a possible 16 points.  Adam finished in 3^rd place on the Pommel Horse with a score of 12.5.  His scores in all six gymnastic events earned him a 2^nd place overall finish in the State for Division III.
