Greetings!
Thank you for staying connected to E. D. White. We value our alumni and hope to see you on campus in the near future. |
The Divine Comedy
The E. D. White Catholic High School Symphonic Band, Concert Choir, Drama Club, and Art Club presented "The Divine Comedy" on April 7th and April 8th in the school's main gymnasium. "The Divine Comedy" is a musical and visual production based on the poem by Dante Alighieri and the music of Robert W. Smith. The poem tells of Dante's journey through the three realms of the dead, lasting from the night before Good Friday to the Wednesday after Easter in the spring of 1300. The Roman poet Virgil guides him through Hell and Purgatory; Beatrice, Dante's ideal woman, guides him through Heaven. |
Academic Showcase
The 2011 Academic Showcase was held on the evening of Wednesday, April 13th in the E. D. White library. The Academic Showcase spotlights what has been going on in the classrooms here E. D. White. From homemade rosaries to volcanoes, from Rube Goldbergs to Hobbit holes, from videotaping and starring in cooking shows to painting landscapes and self-portraits, the library was filled with what inspired E. D. White students in their academic pursuits this year.
This year, once again, we are proud to announce that we had over 100 project categories with up to ten projects submitted per category for entry in the fair.
The evening began with the exciting Jr. High and Sr. High final rounds of our Homeroom Quiz Bowl competition. The homerooms that were crowned champions received free pizza for their entire homeroom. |
Junior-Senior Prom
The E. D. White Catholic High School Junior-Senior Prom was held on Saturday, April 9th. Members of the Prom Court were presented at the dance, and the king and queen were announced. Students were selected to the court based on service to the club that they represented. The king and queen were selected by a vote of the senior class. The queen is Maddi Ortte, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Ortte, and the king is William Cavell, son of Mr. & Mrs. Danny Cavell. |
