We would like to extend a sincere thank you to those of you who joined us for our first ever, Sampling Event this past Friday. We have never seen our store so full of new faces! To those of you new to our newsletter, welcome! We look forward to seeing you in our store again soon.
If you missed out on the event this past Friday, don't worry! We will have Sampling Events at least once a month! Our next Sampling Event is planned for Friday March 2, 2012 from 5-7pm. Please note, we stay open an hour longer than usual when we do our sampling events...a special perk for folks who work late on Fridays!

The Week in Produce
As you know, our produce selection changes weekly. We source as much as we can from local farmers! February might be a little challenging for local produce. Farmers are very busy planning for the year ahead and may not have the time or the product to harvest but if it is available, you will find it in our produce section!

| Raw Chocolate Pudding Recipe
At our Sampling Event, we sampled out a very special chocolate pudding. Not only was it vegan, but it was also RAW, meaning that it was not processed in any way, leaving all of the natural vitamins and minerals found in each natural ingredient. MANY who tried it said it was the BEST chocolate pudding they had ever had!
- 1/2 Cup Dates (soaked in water for 2-3 hours)
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1 Tsp Vanilla extract
- 3 RIPE Avocados
- 1/2 Cup plus 4 TBS Cocoa
- 1/2 Cup Water (using the water from the dates works well)
Combine the dates, maples syrup and vanilla in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add avocados and cocoa. Process until creamy, add water.
Whipped Topping is available for purchase in our "Dairy" cooler but it is dairy-free!

There are designated but limited parking spots in the parking lot next to the store. General parking is also available on Main Street.

The best days to buy produce on sale are Wednesday-Friday The best days for produce variety are Saturday-Monday Fresh bread from Katic is delivered on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings!
