Top-seed Cal Poly Men's tennis team defeated the No. 2 seed UC Santa Barbara, 4-3, in an intense four hour and fifteen minute match to notch the first Big West Men's Tennis Championship in the program's history. The Mustangs left Indian Wells Tennis Garden as the Big West automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division I Championship.
On the women's side, Long Beach State's dynasty at Indian Wells Tennis Garden continued Sunday as the 49er women defeated UC Irvine, 4-1, to earn its eighth Big West Women's Tennis Championship crown in nine years. |

Junior Satellite Tournament
Date: May 25-28, 2012
Divisions: Satellite Boys and Girls 12-18, singles
Satellite Boys and Girls 12-18, doubles
Satellite Boys and Girls 10 (green ball), singles
Satellite Boys and Girls 10 (green ball), doubles
Entry Fee: $36 for first singles and additional singles are $36.
$15 per player for doubles.
Entry deadline is Wednesday, May 23.

Junior Tennis
10 & Under: Join us on May 12 and June 9 where Red Level kids play from 3pm-5pm and Orange and Green Levels play from 2pm-6pm. The cost for the Red level is $5 and the Orange and Green levels are $10. Breaks will be provided after each match as well as water, sports drinks and shade. Pizza and drinks will be enjoyed at the end.
Match Play: Kids 11 years and up can participate in the Friday Night match play every Friday from 5pm-7pm. The cost is $10 per child and it includes pizza and drinks.
Summer Camps: There is still time to sign up for junior summer camps. They will run from June 11 to August 9. For more information click here.

The summer session of Tennis Welcome Center begins on Tuesday, June 5 through August 23 so sign up early. USTA Tennis Welcome Center is a low cost adult instructional program designed to teach in a group environment tennis strokes and strategies to new, existing and returning players.

Stadium Tours
Have friends or family visiting? Come take a tour of the second largest stadium in the world at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Stop by the Pro Shop for a guided tour led by George Anich every Saturday at noon from now through May 19. |
Club Business
Monthly Statements: Our goal is to send all monthly statements out via email to save on time, paper and stamps. We will continue to mail out hard copies to those that request them. Please contact Nancy Hobaugh with your preference.
Summer Hours: Summer Hours will begin on Friday, June 1st. Please see the left hand column in blue for the summer hours.
Courts: We will continue to game arrange for 8am matches only. Members who wish to make their own matches can play at any time including on the half hour. If there are no court reservations and no players on the courts, we reserve the right to close prior to 9pm.
Adult Weekly Tennis Activities: The week of May 28 will be the last week of organized men's day/night and women's day/night. These activities will resume in October.
