A few weeks ago, my three year old son asked a very inquisitive question. He put his hand on my belly and said..."Mommy, did you eat the baby?" I responded, "No, buddy." He then said, "Well then how did it get in your tummy?"

 SHARE YOUR FUNNY KID QUOTES WITH US!What are the funniest things that have come out of your own kids' mouths? Share with us by posting on our New Orleans Baby Fest facebook wall. It's good to keep a journal nearby too; I use my iPhone notepad. We love looking back at the past couple of years of quotes from my son and I know it will be even more fun to share with his future wife and kids one day!

JOHNETTE DOWNING AND PAPILLION TO HEADLINE BABY FEST 2011!

We're happy to announce the headline performers for Baby Fest 2011! 
Papillion, who performs Cajun, Zydeco and New Orleans songs and stories, will return for the second annual event. He serves up a toe-tappin', two-steppin' good time for the entire family.
Joining Papillion this year will be multi-award winning musician and author Johnette Downing. Downing has performed around the world with presentations that celebrate childhood and speak to a child's interests in entertaining ways.

Hannah Montana star and Wind-Up Records recording artist Emily Osment is flying in to New Orleans to perform a special one-hour concert in City Park to benefit the Ochsner Pediatric Family Assistance Fund.
On Saturday, May 21, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Ochsner Health System will present its 6th annual family event benefitting Ochsner's Pediatric Family Assistance Fund. This year's event, Party in the Park, will feature Emily Osment of Hannah Montana fame live in concert in City Park's Amusement Park. The concert and unlimited amusement park rides are only $40 per person, thanks to title sponsor Capital One Bank. Ochsner's Pediatric Family Assistance Fund helps families cope with the financial pressures that can arise during children's hospital stays.
