Whatever your fitness goals - weight loss, overall fitness or flattening your tummy - it is important to have a plan and realistic goals that set you up for success.

Start by writing your big goal and timeline on paper - essentially the "what" and "when" that you want to accomplish.

Next, break down the big goal into two or three measurable short-term goals for the next two weeks. For example, if your big goal is to lose ten pounds over the next two months, then your two or three measurable goals may be to lose three pounds and walk for fifteen minutes at 3.5 on the treadmill.

Photo with a Prop

The question of whether or not to use props when photographing your children is often a difficult one. A carefully chosen item can help take a photo from a moment captured into a story told...but not only will a poorly chosen prop not tell a story in an image, it can also add confusion and make your photos look contrived and unnatural and turn into a distracting element.

A Special Birthday Might Take Some Planning

11.11.11

Based on a 28 day cycle, February 18th is the approximate date of conception to have a due date of 11.11.11!

Now to actually deliver on that day is something you'll have to talk to your baby about in utero.

The Happiest Baby on the Block

  The DVD, Book and Class!

Happiest Baby on the Block

"The Happiest Baby on the Block" was our favorite and most useful video that my husband and I watched when we were expecting our first baby.

We love recommending it to other parents, so I was thrilled to discover that ZukaBaby is holding a Happiest Baby on the Block CLASS at their Magazine Street store on February 17th!

The class is for expectant parents and parents of young babies who would like to learn techniques for calming and soothing a baby, which can add up to three hours to your babe's sleep.

Register by February 1st and receive "The Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD and Sleep Sounds CD (a $40 value) for FREE!
