Greetings!

I hope you've been enjoying this lovely summer we've been having lately!

Though it's been cooler and cloudier than we're used to, it is still summer and the Fire Element is at its strongest.

One of the organs of the Fire Element is the Heart, which is the part of us that desires deep connections and heart-felt communications with others.

When we have an imbalance in our Fire Element, we can feel over-protective of our heart, not wanting to let others get too close. We may feel vulnerable and afraid to let others in, effecting our ability to have deep, intimate and rich relationships.

On the other hand, we can have weak boundaries which makes it difficult for us to discern ourselves from those of others, letting anyone in to run rampant in our heart. This causes much pain within our lives and the lives of others.

From an East Asian Medicine perspective, this can be an imbalance within our Fire Element being too strong or too week, or an imbalance in our Water Element which helps to keep our Fire from getting out of control.

Five Element Acupuncture has proven to be very affective in assisting people with boundary issues. The Gate to our Heart needs to be firm, yet flexible; able to open and close with our wise and intuitive discretion.

Right now is a great time to have your seasonal tune-up! Take advantage of the Fire Energy during this season!
