Actress for comedy/adventure series (Fort lauderdale)
Date: 2012-06-04, 5:14PM EDT
Reply to: 7cvvz-3057382499@gigs.craigslist.org

Casting for pilot episode of new series being proposed for well known
comedy network. Low budget Adventure/comedy series to be shot in Ft.
Lauderdale. If series gets picked up as is, we would like to bring you
along. Casting is for female lead age 20-30. This character is a party
girl, loves the late night scene, loves the idea of spontaneous
adventure and finds it in every episode. Her excellent social skills
and high intellegence make it easy for her to establish friendships.
Because she is high strung and intense she finds it difficult to
maintain those friendships. Abigail wants to make sure everyone in the
room is having a good time but will push too hard at times, and when
rejected she will become extremely upset, retreating into a dark
corner or disappearing altogether. She is very goal oriented and
competitive. She is a sore loser who will hide from everyone to avoid
being seen as a failure. A fast talker. Ready to beat everyone to the
punch. Girl next door cute. Best if you have a good sense of comedic
timing. We have a very limited budget, willing to work out a schedule
that works for you as far as shooting the pilot. Join the project
early and get in on the creative process with an awesome group of
imaginative people! Include headshot and links to any online videos of
your work if possible. Thanks! -Styro

PEMBROKE CIRCLE CASTING CALL
Two male actors needed for Max Rousseau's UCF Graduate Thesis feature
film.
Shoot dates will be June 21st to July 16th. Pay is deferred and
contingent.
Leigh is a principal role and needed for 15/20 days
Bradley is minor role and needed for 4/20 days
Auditions will be held June 7th at UCF Main Campus and video auditions
will be accepted as well.
Must be available to begin rehearsals starting June 8th.
Please contact Kelsey McCreary with a headshot and resume at
casting@pembrokecircle.com
NEEDED:
Character: Leigh
Age: 47
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
Physical Requirements: Average
Character Description: On the outside, Leigh appears to be an
all-American family man. He is supportive of his daughter's ambitions
and works hard to support the household as a single parent. He is a
well-respected Professor (of Botany & Agricultural Studies) as
well as an agricultural consultant known for his research in the Lake
Okeechobee region. However, he hides a very sadistic dark side from
the world. He is charming, smart, devious and domineering.

Character: Bradley
Age: 17
Race: Caucasian
Physical Requirements: Attractive and fit
Character Description: Bradley is a "bully"-like character. He is very
outgoing and charming but remarkably self-indulgent and self-centered.
Every conversation is an opportunity for him to be sarcastic and put
somebody down. In many ways, he's a typical teenage boy: into sports,
all about instant gratification and thinks he knows it all. His
parents are well-off and provide him with everything he needs. He had
to repeat 11th Grade due, due to lack of effort.

Florida Independent Filmmakers

Never too soon to start planning to attend our next general meeting.  It will take place on June 12th at The Schecter Community Center in Satellite Beach, 7pm.  Last month we went to the air and had a great talk with David Allen of Other People's Airplanes.  This time we're going under water with Jason Boone of Dive Documentaries.  Jason is from Titusville and has just surpassed his goal at KickStarter to fund his project which involves filming multiple dives around the Florida Keys and making "Mini-Doc's" about each one.  Check out his website here, it looks like a fun and worthy project and we can't wait to hear all the details.  See you there!

All the best,
Your friends at Florida Independent Filmmakers

Growing up in Los Angeles, Michelle Martin was immersed in the entertainment industry from a young age, spending her childhood years with her friends and their parents who were some of the top producers, actors and directors at the time. She was given a behind the scenes, realistic view of the business early on. When it came time to follow her acting dream, she moved to New York City, where she studied at some of the best acting schools in the world, all the while strengthening her skills as an actress doing theater. Michelle soon got a reputation as an extremely versatile actress, which led theater great Steven Berkoff to cast her in an original production. Back in L.A., she focused on auditioning for film and television and went to network several times, before heading back to New York again. In New York, with a lot of projects in the works, everything in her life was put to a sudden halt with a shocking breast cancer diagnosis. After a four year hiatus where she focused on treatment and healing, she returned to Los Angeles where she was invited by an executive at Fox to pitch a one hour t.v. drama. After 3 years developing a t.v. series (that is loosely based on her life story) about a young breast cancer survivor who is pursuing a creative career in Hollywood, she started focusing on acting again. With the show still in development, she began shooting several short films and gaining the attention of some of her dream directors. In addition, Michelle appeared in one of the most high profile national commercials of 2011. In addition to acting, Michelle is a writer and after her short play "The Last Straw" was produced in New York on Theater Row, she was invited to join the Dramatists Guild. She just completed her first book, "Steps to Success: Daily Declarations for the Actor", which is soon to be published.

Mark Mullen- Spring Work Shops!

It's spring and things are still kicking in the world of commercial, television, and motion picture casting - making it the perfect time to dive into a workout with one of the many workshops being offered at Mullen Casting this winter!

Mark will share stories of audition mishaps, close calls, missed opportunities and that rare moment when the planets align and the elusive role is booked. Actors will be put on camera reading actual commercial copy, television sides, and feature film scripts. The performances will then be viewed and analyzed in front of the class.

Q & A Session (3 pm to 4 pm): By the end of the workshop you will hopefully possess answers to every question you've ever had about the business in Florida and beyond. Prepare for straight-from-the-hip answers to the questions others tend to skirt.
