INSIDER SECRETS WORKSHOP: AUDITIONS & CALLBACKS

Adults 17 and over are invited to join us on SAT., JAN. 21 - 10AM TO 4PM when Casting Directors Mark Mullen and Shannon Ready share over 10 years of expertise about the auditioning process by revealing what goes on after the callback. This is a rare opportunity to take a walk inside the minds of the directors, producers, ad agency execs and clients who set the trends and call the shots that ultimately result in whether you're booking jobs or just going to a lot of auditions.

Mark will share stories of audition mishaps, close calls, missed opportunities and that rare moment when the planets align and the elusive role is booked. Actors will be put on camera reading actual commercial copy, television sides, and feature film scripts. The performances will then be viewed and analyzed in front of the class.

Q & A Session (3 pm to 4 pm): By the end of the workshop you will hopefully possess answers to every question you've ever had about the business in Florida and beyond. Prepare for straight-from-the-hip answers to the questions others tend to skirt.

TEEN/TWEEN WORKSHOP

Join us on SUN., JAN. 22 - 10AM TO 4PM for this fun and informative workshop where tweens and teens (ages 11 - 16) are encouraged to embrace their uniqueness. Find out what directors, producers and advertising agencies look for when casting teens in Florida. Casting Director Mark Mullen will take the teens through the paces of the auditioning process. Find out why and how more teen actors from Florida's current talent pool could and should be booking more parts in local commercial, film and television projects.

Parents are encouraged to attend the Q & A session at the end of the workshop (3 pm to 4 pm) where any and all questions will be covered by Mark Mullen.

HOST/TELEPROMPTER WORKSHOP

Join Mark and actor, host, director, producer, acting instructor, on-set coach Lauren O'Quinn on SAT., FEB. 4 - 10AM TO 4PM to find out why Central Florida has a reputation as one of the hottest markets from which to cast projects requiring hosts/spokespersons. In fact, Mark has cast for clients shooting projects from as far away as Seattle,Toronto, and even Sweden. Hosting projects include: Walmart, Selsun, American Express, Icy Hot, Kodak, Mitsubishi, Eyeglass World, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Panasonic, AT&T, Gold Bond, Allegra, and Chrysler.

Take advantage of this one-of-a-kind workshop focusing on all aspects of being a successful spokesperson/host. Participants will have the opportunity to work with a teleprompter, perfecting the necessary skills to land the job. Cold reading technique and working with script will also be covered, as well as tips on how to market yourself to producers and agents. Learn how to tell the story, find the drama and emotion in the words, and how to create your own unique voice.

Lauren O'Quinn majored in Theatre at the University of Georgia before moving to Orlando in 1997. She is an award winning actress, director, and producer with over 200 national, regional, and local commercials. She has appeared as an actor and/or spokesperson in commercials for such companies as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Microsoft, Nissan, Publix, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Bob Evans, Maxide, Subway Restaurants and numerous others. She has also worked as a casting director and account supervisor for an award winning advertising agency and spent years in the talent agency business. Come to this amazing workshop and you too can learn what she knows!

KIDS ACTING WORKSHOP
