SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY: DIVIDING LINE

(A Christian Play - Drama with a touch of comedy)

The Cummings family is very well to do financially. However, due to the
stress and pressures of owning his own Finance Company, Walter Cummings
has become very abusive to his wife.

They have three children who feel the pressure of this abuse. All except
their daughter who is too young to understand.

Pastor Thomas Jones and wife, Marcella are a happy family with two sons.
He is Senior Pastor of the Christian Community Church . His wife is very
out going and goes out in the community every week to pray and minister
to people, whether in the Park or in the Hospital.

Marcella wants more of a challenge in her Christian walk. The Cummings are
placed directly in the center of her life. This is going to be more of a
challenge than she realizes.

Bradley Cummings, the oldest has to find a way to help his mother, as he
fears for her life in this abusive situation. He is willing to take whatever
risk necessary to confront this issue with his step father.

Bradley joins the youth group at Christian Community Church which changes
his life. As a result of his transformation, his mother and younger siblings
secretly joins the church which leads to a dangerous altercation after his
father finds out.

Walter is not persuaded by his family's change, which infuriates him.

This change, despite the continual abuse places Walter at a Dividing Line
