Greetings!

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was a great success.  Co-chairs Merrill Livingston & Meg Nelson thank all those who attended, donated, sponsored, joined and volunteered.  We could not do this without you.

All three venues were fabulous:  Thank you to John Hosford of St. James Bay Golf Resort, Dixie Parrington at the Dixie Theatre and Evan Foster at the Gazebo Coffee Shoppe and Deli.

Thank you to all our sponsors.  Your generosity allowed us to make this one of best events ever.  Please support our sponsors, they are the backbone of our community.  Special thanks to grants from the Franklin County TDC and Patagonia for making this dream come true.

For those who attended, thank you for coming out in record numbers and supporting your Riverkeeper.  You are all simply the best.

If you attended our film festival, please give us some feedback by filling out this brief on-line survey.

Thank you all again,

Merrill Livingston and Meg Nelson

Riverkeeper addresses Rotary

Riverkeeper Dan Tonsmeire addressed the Marianna Rotary this week.  Dan updated the group on the progress of the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint Stakeholders.  ACFS is moving forward with a plan to determine flows that will maintain the health of the river while providing for other uses as well.  Those uses include recreational and commercial fishing, drinking water supply, irrigation for farms and homes and other commercial needs.

ACFS is just one of multiple projects and programs the Apalachicola Riverkeeper participates in to protect and preserve our river and bay.

Thank you to Board Member Chad Taylor and Dr. Ben Saunders for arranging this opportunity.  Thank you to the Marianna Rotary for hosting the Apalachicola Riverkeeper.
