Outside Buyer in California- Purchased a $2.56M earned premium agency for 2.73x total renewal commissions (i.e. brokered book was included).  PPCLOAN provided a loan for $555,000, the seller held an $80,000 note, and the buyer made a cash injection of $205,000.

Outside Buyer in North Carolina- Purchased a $3.68M earned premium Allstate agency for 2.45x Allstate renewal commissions.  PPCLOAN provided a loan for $805,000, the seller held a note for $75,000, and the buyer made a cash contribution of $40,000.

Outside Buyer in New Jersey- Purchased a $2.47M earned premium agency for 2.02x Allstate renewal commissions.  PPCLOAN provided a loan for $495,000 and the buyer made a cash contribution of $20,000.

In the quote above, Mr. Powell makes a very good point about the nature of businesses.  Each Allstate agency will realize greater performance to the extent that they have great employees.  Additionally, Allstate Corporation will realize greater overall performance only to the extent that they attract great Allstate agents.  It is great to know that the recruiters and Field Sales Leaders are working hard to get this job done!
