New Professional Development Scholarships Provide Learning Opportunities Around the World

Two new professional development scholarships have recently become available through the PMI Educational Foundation and are open to applicants around the globe.

The Eric Jenett Professional Development Scholarship Fund, named after one of PMI's five founders and the first
jenett
Eric Jenett, PMP 1923-2011
PMP credential holder, is available to any applicant globally for a professional development course enabling the recipient to earn or maintain a PMP certification.  This fund was founded by the PMI Houston Chapter and AJ Collier of the Clearlake Galveston Chapter.  The goal is to honor one of PMI's key figures, while at the same time advancing the profession.  Applications due 1 September.

With the same vision of supporting professionals in the project management field of work, the former Women in PM Specific Interest Group (SIG) also recently established the Women in Project Management Scholarship Fund. While the SIG has dissolved, its former members are still dedicated to advocating for women in the profession and providing professional growth opportunities. The scholarship is open to women project managers around the world. Applications due 1 October.
