PMIEF helped PMI Pakistan Chapters connect with experts in Disaster Recover Training
|
Due to the devastating floods in Pakistan, the PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter contacted PMIEF for resources to train PMI members in Pakistan and local NGO personnel in utilizing project management in post-disaster recovery efforts. PMIEF connected the chapter with Project Aid, an Australian nonprofit, which has utilized the PMI Project Management Methodology for Post Disaster Reconstruction from PMIEF to train disaster and emergency management personnel in Australia and elsewhere. Volunteers from Project Aid, who were PMI members with the PMP® credential, traveled to Pakistan and conducted a "Master Trainer Workshop" and other training sessions in Karachi and Lahore. The PMI Project Management Methodology for Post Disaster Reconstruction and online project management fundamentals training scholarships for personnel of nonprofits are available from PMIEF for no cost for non-commercial use.

| PMIEF Participates in Boeing Webinar

When participants were asked if they were volunteering in their local communities, the response of YES was overwhelming, and many followed up with examples of how they are using their project management skills in their volunteer efforts. Read more
