We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures. - Thornton Wilder
Hi Contact First Name,
Whatever else it does, yoga exercises our awareness. Breath by breath, pose by pose, the practice of yoga asks us to pay attention to what we're doing right now. Over time, this can become the most dependable and rewarding aspect of a continuing yoga practice.
Remember to occasionally give yourself a yogic "breather" during the holidays - turn your attention to your breath, or the sensations in your body. Maybe, if you can then carry this kind of calm awareness into your preparations and gift-giving, your heart will be more conscious of your treasures.
In these moments, as Wilder says in the quote above, you may feel even more truly alive.
