Dear friends of Crosswinds,
Thanks to all of you who supported the 12th Annual Great Brevard Duck Race. It was fun and successful, with revenues over $40,000 to benefit children, youth and families in crisis. We couldn't do what we do without you!

| All They Needed Was a Duck and a Dream !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  John and Cecile Hardin made a donation to benefit the children, youth and families of Brevard, by "adopting" a rubber duck to race in the 12th Annual Great Brevard Duck Race, a fundraiser for Crosswinds Youth Services of Cocoa. They had been dreaming of taking a cruise. On Race Day, their duck and their dream came in winners. They won the grand prize, a seven-day Caribbean cruise for two aboard the Disney Magic, donated by Disney Cruise Line. Congratulations and Bon Voyage! Other winners in the Duck Race were: 2nd-Cynthia Handley, 3rd-Cory Brown, 4th-Jeffrey Long, 5th-Anita Smith, 6th-Amy Appleton, 7th-John & Jean Gaskins, 8th-Jeff Wagner. |
| Duck Adoption Promoters Win by Helping Crosswinds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Two employees at the Port St. John branch of Community Credit Union were among the top promoters of duck adoptions, raising money for Crosswinds and winning prizes for themselves. Martha Mack (on left in photo at left) was the #1 promoter of duck adoptions this year, and has been a strong supporter of the Duck Race for many years. Gwen Severson (on right) was in 5th place among promoters. Other winning promoters were: 2nd-Lisa Harmon and 3rd: Tina Mc.Gann, both of Florida Business Bank; 4th-Cocoa High School Freshman Class Student Government. Other financial institutions which participated in Duck Race promotions at their Brevard county branches this year were Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union, Insight Financial Credit Union, Prime Bank, Riverside Bank, Seacoast National Bank, Regions Bank, Space Coast Credit Union, Sunrise Bank, and RBC Bank. Thank you to all of their employees and customers who supported the Duck Race. |

Duck Race prizes were donated by Disney Cruise Line, Washington Nationals Baseball Club, Dillard's, Orlando World Center Marriott, Obsession Charters Fishing Fleet, Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, Cocoa Beach Pier, King Center for the Performing Arts, and Servant Air Ministries.
