LED Fundamentals: New Educational Videos Added

LED Fundamentals EducationThe LED Fundamental series is a primer on LEDs for lighting applications and LED system design considerations. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has added three new videos to the series that cover more advanced LED topics. The first of the new videos, LEDs System Introduction, covers the system components needed to build a complete LED system.

The video entitled Basics of Heat Transfer, outlines the various modes of heat transfer in an LED system, thermal conductivity of typical materials used in LED system design and an overview of managing thermal resistance.

The third new educational video investigates Radiometry and Photometry. Radiometry is the detection and measurement of radiation across the full electromagnetic spectrum, including ultraviolet, visible and infrared radiation, while Photometry is concerned only with the visible portion of the spectrum.

Stay tuned to LED Fundamental series from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors for more educational videos coming soon.
