Carlos Diaz, 3 time Gemini Nominee, Actor-Comedian

Carlos Diaz is a Chilean born, Canadian actor and has worked in Television, Film, Theatre, radio and voice over animation for over twelve years in Toronto, Vancouver and New York City. He is an actor, writer and acting coach in Toronto. Some of his film credits include: "John Q", "Repo Men", "Toronto Stories", "Hustle: The Pete Rose Story". Some Television Credits include: "Crash & Burn", "The Line", "Rent A Goalie" (3 Gemini nominations), "The Dead Zone", "Street Time", "This is Wonderland" and "Clean".

Carlos has done humanitarian work for projects in South Africa with Partners For Others and S.O.L.I.D. with whom he traveled to Swaziland and Lesotho in 2008 (he plans to return). He also volunteers weekly at Planet Geek (dot ca), refurbishing old computers to keep them out of landfills and give them to families and individuals who may not have or cannot afford them.

Carlos continues working to help bring relief and reconstructive solutions to those who suffered most in the earthquake of February 27th, 2010.

Chile CAN Rise was formed March 3, 2010 to unite the efforts of the Chilean, and broader community in Toronto, for relief and reconstruction in Chile following the earthquake of February 27, 2010.
