Making Paper
One of my hobbies is scrapbooking so I have a fascination with paper - and a room full of paper in different colors and textures. So, this month i wanted to share alittle of my hobby with you.
Paper and the pulping process was first invented in the 2nd centruy AD. In 2006, there were over 450 paper mills in the United States with a production of $68 Billion.

Three Skills to Become More Effective
There is often confusion between the jobs of a product manager and a project manager. Yet at the root of it, any New Product Development (NPD) effort is a project. Projects are defined by these characteristics:
- A distinct starting and ending point,
- Temporary in nature (yet may be long in duration),
- Creates a unique product or service, and
- Involves a cross-functional team.
Certainly, the development of a new product meets this definition. So, what's the best way to manage the NPD project? How can a manager and company get the most efficient production out of available resources? What skills can I gain as product development leader to drive profitability for NPD teams?
In this paper, we'll discuss three important skills for a project manager.
- Balance the triple constraint,
- Kill bad ideas, and
- Conduct post-launch reviews.
