Software is Not a

What would Easter be without Jelly Beans?
With Easter celebrated in many nations across the globe this April, we treasure our sweets - hollow chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs filled with yummy fillings, and the ever present jelly beans.
But did you know, in the 1920's, a "jellybean" in the United States was slang for a "dandy" or a well-dressed but empty-headed man? And in the semiconductor industry, a "jellybean" is a readily available component?
I hope you'll find all of your favorite flavors (and none of Harry Potter's flavors) in your Easter basket. If not, take a look at this short video (about 5 minutes) to learn how they make jelly beans.
Many thanks to one of our readers, Andrew, for suggesting this Innovation Fun Fact! |

Project Team Dynamics: Enhancing Performance, Improving Results
This short book, which you can read in a weekend, by Lisa DiTullio is a must-read for any new Project Leader or Project Manager. Divided into two parts, the first section addresses setting up and initiating the team. The next section, Part 2, provides performance based team behavior feedback for maintaining well-functioning teams.
Throughout the book and on Lisa's website, you will find tips, tricks, and worksheets to guide the Project Team and the Team Leader.
What I love the most about this book is the philosophy of keeping the project rules simple and engaging team members at all levels.
You will want to return to this book for guidance on different projects and as you advance from team member to team leader. |
