New elementary and middle grades career network to be kids and careerslaunched

The demand for career awareness and career exploration resources has steadily climbed over

the past two years. Throughout Santa Clara County, many elementary and middle schools have integrated career activities into programs. This week, Sylvandale Middle School in the Franklin-McKinley school district will launch its new middle school health careers academy. Middle school career academies are on the rise across the United States. California CareerZone, Reality Check, Real Game California and Career Planning Guides are four great resources to help your school get started with activities. If you are interested in networking with leaders from schools in Santa Clara County or you would like more than 20 resources for elementary and middle schools, contact Alyssa Lynch at Alyssa_Lynch@sccoe.org to join the new network, or call (408) 453-4329.
