Third annual CTE Conference is another success
More than 220 people attended the third annual CTE Conference at the Santa Clara County Office of Education in September. State Superintendent Tom Torlakson kicked off the event by embracing the CTENow message. Survey results confirmed that Torlakson and speaker William Symonds supported a message that "one size does not fit all students" and that the definition of college readiness must be broadened to prepare our young people for college and careers in the 21st century. Survey results show that 97 percent of attendees found the conference was effective in increasing their understanding of CTE. Ninety-three percent felt the conference increased their ability to be more effective in their role at work. View conference district awards, videos and pictures.
