PARKINSON'S DANCE PROGRAM
The United Arts Council received a private foundation grant to work with the local Parkinson Association on a program called "Dance and Movement." The program was developed by the world-renowned Mark Morris Dance Group in New York City for Parkinson's patients and is designed to improve flexibility and range of motion. Weekly classes are taught by one of our contract instructors who trained with New York City's Mark Morris Group; musical accompaniment is provided by a local pianist.
