Welcome to the latest Awakenings! At the recent Creative Field Conference at Sunrise Ranch in Colorado, Lynne McTaggart spoke of her new book "The Bond". This bond is what connects us all - an invisible energetic reality. As unique individuals, we can be wooed by the appearance of separateness. Latest science proves that this is an illusion. We are like "knots of energy" in a sea of energy and are intimately connected with the rest of creation.
Lynne suggests that there are 4 human needs which, when met, help us recover the living reality of "The Bond". They are the need to belong, to give, to agree and to take turns. She simplifies this to "share, care, be aware and be fair". We intend to explore each one of these essences in over coming issues.
In this issue our theme is belonging/sharing - from Rita's poem on surrendering to her innermost reality, to Richard's wise words on transitions through to the word of the month - belonging. And check out the song, movie and You Tube clips. Enjoy bathing in belonging!

Beginnings and Endings

 Increasingly as I get older I am aware of the fact that life has its chapters and stages. On the one hand I note the capacity to play sports such as squash, cricket or football, to responsibly father and raise children or undertake major skill training has clearly long since gone. Alternatively I now find much opportunity to mentor and support younger people, to develop deeper friendships with my peers and to spend more quality time with my partner.

"Word of the Month" - Belonging

Belonging is one of our basic needs. Dictionary.com defines it as "a sense of security in friendship". Words expressing similar essences are acceptance, affinity, association, attachment, inclusion, kinship, loyalty, rapport, relationship. The sense of these words is connection - never being alone.

'Embracing 2012' Seminar - Great Early Bird Savings
 Join us for our 'Embracing 2012' Seminar to be held at Riverdell Spiritual Centre from 6.00pm Wednesday 11th January to noon on Sunday 15th January.
