School Starts Tuesday We can't wait to welcome back your children on Tuesday, September 6. Here are some important back to school notes for parents:
Allow Extra Time at the Bus Stop On the first day of school, it is important for your child to be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the time listed on the bus pass. Please be advised that buses may run late or early for the first few weeks until schedules and routes are fine-tuned. The Transportation Dept. can be reached at 732-849-2812. Parents are reminded that many important papers come home during the first few days of school, so please be sure to check your child's backpack. There will be several forms for you to fill out and sign. It is especially important that you return the emergency contact card immediately. This allows the school staff to reach you, or someone you have designated, in the event of an emergency, accident, or illness. Please list all of your phone numbers (work, home, cell) as well as several other persons to contact in an emergency. We now use an automated phone system to notify parents in the event of an emergency closing or delayed opening so it is important that we have the correct contact information from you. New District Website Online
We've been working all summer to launch our new district website with the goal of improving communication with parents and the community. For a short time, you will be directed to a temporary location until we switch over to our www.manchestertwp.org domain. Some of the new features you will find include a dynamic calendar system, with each school and staff member able to have their own calendars. As a user, you can filter your calendar choices and print calendars using the "more" tab on any calendar page. Each school now has its own site that includes a homepage with news, announcements and upcoming events list. The Select a School tab in the yellow bar at the top left will bring you to your school site. Soon you will be able to register to receive emergency e-alerts and subscribe to receive content alerts and/or RSS feeds for certain sections. We're very excited about our new site and hope to continue to add new features and improvements over the next few months. We'll be asking for your feedback soon so that we can make our site as useful and easy to use for you as possible. |
