School Bus Jointure Brings Savings 

Students board buses at Central Regional HSSchool districts struggling with funding cuts and budget caps are coming up with creative ways to share services and save money for taxpayers.  Manchester Township was one of several Ocean County school districts that joined together this school year to save on transportation costs to and from the county's vocational schools.  Manchester could save $100,000 this year through this jointure that uses Central Regional High School as a hub. Education Foundation Holds Open House 

 

The Manchester Township Educational Foundation invites everyone to an "Open House" on Thursday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in the Manchester Township High School Media Center.  MTEF members will host the event to introduce the activities conducted by MTEF to raise funds to support Manchester students. Perhaps you too will want to be a Friend of the Foundation.  Volunteers welcome! Refreshments will be served.

Seven AP Scholars from Class of 2010  

 

Seven 2010 graduates of Manchester Township High School, have earned AP Scholar Awards from the College Board, in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the AP Exams.

 

Kyle Whitlock qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Ashley Johnston, Matthew Layton, Patrick McPartlin, Cara Parliament, Nicole Price, and Kelly Ryan earned the designation of AP Scholar for completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher.

 

"Our students who take AP and Honors courses are extremely dedicated and work very hard to complete the rigorous coursework," said Alex George, MTHS Principal.  "We are very proud to have seven 2010 graduates, a record number for our school, achieve the AP Scholar honor."
