Encourage Your Child to Read This Summer!

Child readingOne of the goals of the Manchester Township School District is to promote a love of books and reading. In keeping with this goal, we have prepared a reading list of suggested books and authors that would help immerse your child in great literature this summer.  Middle and high school students can get extra credit for reading over the summer, and some high school classes have required reading assignments.

Summer reading lists and instructions for all levels may be found at  www.manchestertwp.org/news/summer_reading.html.

New Hours for MTES, RS Next Year

The Manchester Twp. Board of Education approved a change in school hours for Ridgeway and Manchester Township Elementary Schools at their June 2010 meeting. The new hours for the 2010-2011 school year are:

Ridgeway   8:20AM-3:00PM
MTES           8:50AM-3:30PM

The switch is a cost-saving measure that will save the district $50-75,000 by reducing bus runs, according to Business Administrator Craig Lorentzen.
