Out Boulder Staff Changes |
|---|
Dear OUT Boulder friends and supporters,
As the world turns, we find ourselves at another transition point in our organization. Mauricio Shoup, who has been such an incredible addition to our team as Program Director, is unable to continue his work at this time. We have been very blessed to have him and this is a sad occasion for us all.
Jen, our office manager, will be transitioning into some new job duties that include managing our Health and Wellness programs, as well as eventually the SpeakingOut speakers bureau. She will also continue her Marketing and Communications role. If you need anything having to do with any of these programs please don't hesitate to call her at 303-499-5777.
For the next few weeks we will be in the process of recruiting an Events and Office Manager. This person will oversee our administrative needs, as well as coordinate events. In addition, we will hire someone to coordinate this year's Pridefest. A job description will be available soon and we would appreciate tremendously your support in getting the word out.
Our goal is always to be responsive to our community, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions about this transition.Your support and understanding means the world to us.
In solidarity, Aicila Lewis
Executive Director, Out Boulder

Dare to Dream will focus on a message of hope and healing while offering support for abuse survivors. The event will provide male survivors with a safe and comfortable environment to join others in lifting the veil of secrecy and shame from their experience. The program will feature the film Boys and Men Healing, a facilitated panel discussion, and an opportunity to learn about local resources and support groups. More info.

Out Boulder Hike at Chatauqua -
Sunday, Aug. 5 @ 12:30 p.m.
|
|---|
Join us for an Out Boulder hike! The event is open to the LGBTQ and allied community. Meet at the Chautauqua Visitor's Center near the trailhead. We will leave promptly at 12:30 so arrive a little early to park and find us. Jen will be in her Out Boulder green shirt so we should be easy to spot. This will be an easy hike, maybe 3 miles or so but we will decide how far and what route to take once everyone is there to accommodate every one's abilities. Bring water and your hiking shoes! Feel free to contact Jen with questions, jspolnik@outboulder.org. We also have Meditation at the pride house at 11am that day - so what a perfect Boulder day to meditate and then join us for the hike. Or just one or the other. This hike is offered by Out Boulder's Health and Wellness program. If you'd like to RSVP, visit us on facebook! (not required)
