Greetings! ,
I hope you're having a lovely week. Don't forget that, aside from Gay Pride Month, June is Walk and Bike Month. Leave your combustion engines aside and give yourself an excuse to ride around the myriad bike paths in Boulder; you'll feel better and you can see the cute little groundhogs along the Foothills path.
Pride month means Denver's Pridefest is happening soon. We need some more helpers to table. Take a look below.

Help us table at Denver Pride, staffing our booth and representing Out Boulder and SPAN (Safe House Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence.) We will train you. We need volunteers hourly for two hour shifts. Volunteers may commit to up to 2 shifts. Two volunteers should be scheduled for the 5-7 shift. Contact Mauricio: mshoup@outboulder.org. EDITOR NEEDED We are looking for a volunteer for the Boulder's LGBTQ Community Portrait: the story-sharing project. For this project we are collecting a diverse range of experiences to create an inclusive story of the LGBTQ community of Boulder. We are compiling these stories in a book and an exhibition along with a photograph of each participant. At this time we are looking for a volunteer to edit these excerpts to prepare them for printing. You will be looking for general clarity, grammar and punctuation mistakes, while still remaining true to the idea portrayed. Two volunteers will be needed from June 30-July 11. We will need you to read over a book of these stories to edit any errors. The book is estimated to be about 30-50 pages. If you are a good writer and/or editor, we would love to hear from you. Volunteering for this you get the chance to preview and read amazing stories about individuals within our community. For more information, or if you would like to volunteer please contact Shannon Cleary at OutBoulderPhoto@gmail.com or at (303)819-2817. STORY-SCRIBE NEEDED! We are looking for a volunteer for the Boulder's LGBT Community Portrait: the story-sharing project. For this project we are collecting a diverse range of experiences to create an inclusive story of the LGBT community of Boulder. We are compiling these stories in a book and an exhibition along with a photograph of each participant. At this time we are looking for a volunteer to transcribe these stories from their recordings to a word document that we can use for the printed version of this project. We have a free transcribing application (which slows the recording) and the recordings, all that you would need is to either come into the Pride House to use a computer or use your home computer. Volunteers for this will be needed now until the end of June. A volunteer could choose to transcribe one story or many. The interviews are about an hour long, which roughly translates to 3-4 hours of transcribing for each. Volunteering for this means you get to hear some amazing stories (to expand your world) and improve your typing speed! For more information, or if you would like to volunteer please contact Shannon Cleary at OutBoulderPhoto@gmail.com or at (303)819-2817. For the course of the project she will also be able to meet you (at the pride house, or a coffee shop in Boulder) if you need help with anything.
