COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Boulder Valley Women's Health Center
|
|---|
You may not know that Boulder Valley Women's Health Center (Women's Health) is not just for women anymore. While we are a comprehensive gynecology healthcare provider, we specialize in sexual health services for everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Healthcare services are generally provided on a sliding fee scale based on your income. Some family planning services like annual exams and birth control methods slide to $0 of people under 100% of the federal poverty level. Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections is an area of expertise. We also provide lots of information and education both by our in-house staff, and also on our websites: boulderwomenshealth.org and teenclinic.org. And we have clinics in both Boulder and Longmont! People under 20 can come during clinic time reserved exclusively for teens (see websites for hours). All the same services are available but during a time when adults are less likely to be present and the atmosphere is more teen-friendly. People under 18 will receive services on a donation-only basis, those 18 and over may be asked to make a small co-payment. At Women's Health you can expect to be treated with dignity and respect by experienced sexual healthcare providers, regardless of your gender! Read more about BVWHC's new offering to the Transgender community below! Also, coming soon in April to Out Boulder, a representative from BVWHC will be offering a Health Talk at the Pridehouse. Stay tuned! |
