JOIN US FOR WINTER CELEBRATIONS!!

It's that time of the year again, time to gather with friends, new and old, to reminisce about the year coming to an end and celebrate and strengthen the bonds of our friendship and the great accomplishments of this past year.

In a nutshell, it's time for a good winter shindig, and we at Out Boulder would love to have you join us at ours.  On Wednesday, Dec., 14th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM,  join us for our Winter Holiday Party at Martini's Bistro in Longmont.  Good times, good food, and good cheer for all.  We hope to see many familiar faces and many new ones too, so come one, come all, come out and let's party!

The good times express does not stop there, if you weren't able to join us at Martini's in Longmont, don't fret we have options for you....

In the bitter cold, what better place to Happy Hour than The Bitter Bar!  Wednesday, Dec., 21st from 5:00 to 7:00PM join us at Boulder's place to not be seen and together let's wrap up the year's Happy Hours in style.   Bitter Bar has a splendid array of cocktails, mocktails, and fab American fare, perhaps that cutie you saw last week at Martini's will be there too.

Suggested donation is $5.00, don't let this be the reason why you don't join us, all are welcome!

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Rainbow Elders

Rainbow Elders Out Boulder Rainbow Elders Out Boulder Aging ServicesThe "Rainbow Elders" is a loosely organized social group founded by Boulder County Aging Services Division (BCASD) in 2000. Through focus groups, County staff uncovered a gap in services among LGBT elders who felt isolated from their families and even each other in our broader queer community. The Rainbow Elders support/social group was formed; it met monthly for nine years. Currently, the group meets annually for a celebration called the Lavender Gala, which is this Sunday, Dec. 11 at the East Boulder Senior Center. BCASD maintains a confidential mailing list of self-identified LGBT seniors and allies (60+) and sends a monthly newsletter with events and services that may be of interest. BCASD seeks to create a community in which people can help themselves, reducing isolation and depression. We collaborate with organizations like Out Boulder, Bent Lens Cinema, OASOS, PFLAG, Dancin' Divas, CareConnect, and the Denver LGBT Center to create and promote events and services that reach a wide, potentially intergenerational audience. We also host topical workshops, like LGBT Estate Planning. Please contact our office to be added to the confidential list. Though not age restrictive, expect a majority of 20 to 30 somethings to attend this group.

This new group will run bi-weekly on opposite Wednesdays to our existing Transgender Support Group.
