at the Boulder Public Library Auditorium
Free and Open to the Public |

Out Boulder and Bent Lens Cinema Present "Paragraph 175" (part of Out Boulder's presentation of the traveling exhibit on Nazi persecution of homosexuals)
When: Monday, April 25 - 7pm
Where Boulder Public Library Auditorium - 9th St. and Canyon Blvd entrance
The first documentary to expose the widespread torture, imprisonment and murder of lgbt citizens by Hitler's Nazi regime under German's sodomy statute, "Paragraph 175" details the hunt and persecution of homosexuals during the Holocaust.
Narrated by Rupert Everett and directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, the film chronicles the lives of several men who survived their arrest and confinement in Nazi concentration camps. Of the 100,000 mostly gay men arrested from 1933 - 1945, only about 4,000 survived. The story of LGBT persecution during the Holocaust had never been documented before this film.
The Boulder Gay and Lesbian Film Festival first screened "Paragraph 175" here in 2001.

Boulder ADAPT and Out Boulder Discussion about the Institutionalization, Isolation and Social Marginalization of People with Disabilities and the LGBTQ Community |
|---|
Tuesday, April 26 -- Boulder Creek Room, Boulder Public Library 5:30 to 6:30pm. Free and open to the public.
Today people with disabilities in the United States face forced institutionalization because of physical and mental disabilities. This social isolation and segregation is something we share with other marginalized Americans particularly those from the LGBTQ community.
During this time of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum presentation of "The Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals;" Boulder ADAPT encourages you to join our dialogue about the imposed institutionalization and isolation that still impacts our lives today. We will remember the T-4 forced euthanasia of people with disabilities by Nazi persecution and how our public policy still prefers the Disability Community "out of sight." ADAPT is a national grass-roots community that organizes disability rights activists to engage in nonviolent direct action, including civil disobedience, to assure the civil and human rights of people with disabilities to live in freedom.

Prop Gay
Friday, April 29th at Centro! |
|---|
Every now and then Prop Gay finds a venue where we are so welcomed, so loved, and where the staff has as much fun as we do, that we can't help but return for more of the action. Centro is on the top of that list. And now that we are getting the first glimmers of the patios and outdoor life of a Boulder summer, why not return to one of the best patios around?
Prop Gay - Friday, April 29 | 10:00pm-2:00am
Centro Latin Kitchen | 950 Pearl Street, Boulder
The last time we visited Centro (January 2010), we were too big for our britches - shoulder to shoulder mayhem and one of the first times this town noticed 'Prop Gay is a real force in this town - a force that's fun as hell!' Now, with the patio open, we can spill out around their killer bar and into the crisp air of a Spring night. Come get your freak on this Friday.

Mythica Von Griffyn's Art
at the Out Boulder Pride House |
|---|
Mythica Von Griffyn, well-known for her beautiful, colorful chalk art, body painting and charity fundraising events, is showing her work at the Pridehouse, 2132 14th Street in Boulder. Out Boulder will be hosting Mythica art for the month of April. Mythica von Griffyn is a chalk and body paint artist, actress and poet and is a well- known figure in the Denver area. She was the premier chalk artist at Metro before she finished her degree requirements last semester. She has won 3 times "Best use of Color" in show at the Denver Chalk Art Festival. Many of the prints on display are sections of those award winning pieces.
Recently Mythica has been going back to the basics and exploring new art styles with Crayola crayons, Bic markers, and Sharpies. Because so many people have been drawn to her line drawings, she is creating an adult coloring book. Mythica is a performing poet who reads at the Mercury Café on Open Mike night as well as having videos on YouTube and hundreds of poems at the website, Conversations with SheHe.
The prints at the Pridehouse are for sale. At $25 dollars apiece, they are a bargain for the art lover and much appreciated support for the artist. As a sex-positive and LGBT issues advocate, working with Out Boulder is a perfect fit for Mythica.
For more information about the show or Mythica, please contact Mythica at iammythica@gmail.com or come see her online...
