Fundraiser will be held at The Center For People With Disabilities 1675 Range St. Boulder, Colorado 80301

ADAPT is a National Grassroots Cross-Disability Civil/Human Rights Coalition. ADAPT works for full inclusion and participation for Persons With Disabilities in their communit...ies. ADAPT strives to keep all persons visible in communities. We work locally and nationally to keep person with disabilities in their chosen communities with proper and informed supports. We fight the institutional basis in health care policy, the overzealous budget cutters and those that would defy supreme court precedents and risk our health, lives, and freedom for budgets, lobbies and short term political gains. ADAPT does this work on a number of fronts and in many ways: from education and letter writing, to policy making, from protest to active non-violent civil disobedience.

SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK - Saturday, April 9th - Boulder Theater - Tickets still Available!

The name of the group was derived from a song, based on Psalm 81:16, which tells of a land so rich that when rocks were cracked open, honey flowed from them. Founder Bernice Johnson has said that this first song in which four women blended their voices was so powerful, that there was no question what the name of the group should be.

Over the years more than 20 individuals have lent their voices to Sweet Honey in the Rock. Beginning as a quartet, the group is now composed of six African-American women (including a professional American Sign Language interpreter who accompanies the group on concert tours.)

Coyote Grace

-  This folktastic phenomenon is the result of combining one guitarist Joe Stevens, a transman from Northern California, with one upright bassist Ingrid Elizabeth, a sassy femme originally hailing from the hills of Southeastern Ohio.

Together, they capture the eyes and the hearts of live audiences nationwide with their bluesy folkroots sound, sweet harmonies, poignant songwriting, and mid-song dance moves.
