The 8^th Puppy Bowl brought to us by ANIMAL PLANET was once again a smashing success of cuteness! What makes this event so important and endearing at the same time, is that all the puppies and kitties are shelter animals in need of adoption. The puppies which get to appear on the PUPPY BOWL are indeed very lucky. ANIMAL PLANET works with PETFINDER to locate animals in need. They are chosen from thousands of potential shelter pets across the country. The whole event is to draw attention to local animal shelters with puppies and kitties available for adoption.

The ratings for the show continue to soar each year. Last year's PUPPY BOWL drew 9.2 viewers.

This year's projections were for even more viewers who were also treated to a Piggy Pep Squad, a Cockatiel who was "tweeting" live from the sidelines and a Kitty half-time show.

It's all about adopting the wonderful pets available at local animal shelters across the United States. Be a pet angel and make your next family member an ADOPTED one!!
