TIP OF THE WEEK

"Cats have about the right size of vocal folds to produce a cry that is similar to a baby's," she explains. "The meow, which can sound like a crying child, will be particularly effective with humans." Both men and women seem to respond to this sound, with the mothering instinct particularly kicking in for women.

THE GOOD NEWS
Getty Images . Catholic Stewards of Creation focuses throughout the year on the creation and creatures that fill the earth. It is our calling once each year to focus on one of creations most vulnerable among us, the unborn child, as we join with our Church and all Pro-life supporters in seeking an end to abortion.
MARCH FOR LIFE IN WASHINGTON DC
January 23rd marks the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that removed many state and federal restrictions on abortion.
Pro-life supporters from across the United States will be in Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life. It's been deemed the largest and longest-running peaceful human rights demonstration for the unborn, with more than 100,000 expected to attend.

PRESENTATION OF THE LAMBS FOR THE FEAST OF ST. AGNES
VATICAN CITY, 21 JAN 2012 (VIS) - This morning in the Urban VIII Chapel of the Vatican Apostolic Palace the Pope was presented with two lambs which had earlier been blessed for today's feast of St. Agnes. The blessing took place in the basilica on Rome's Via Nomentana which bears the saint's name and where she is buried. The wool of the lambs is used to make the palliums bestowed on new metropolitan archbishops on 29 June, Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, Apostles.
The pallium is a white woolen band embroidered with six black crosses which is worn by the Pope and by metropolitan archbishops. The lambs, the symbol of St. Agnes who was martyred in Rome around the year 305, are raised by the Trappist Fathers of the Abbey of the Three Fountains in Rome and the palliums are made from the newly-shorn wool by the sisters of St. Cecilia.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"The greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion, which is war against the child. The mother doesn't learn to love, but kills to solve her own problems. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." ~ Mother Teresa ~
