HOT LINKS

FYI

Animal heroes leaving Baghdad Iraq arrive first in Frankfurt Germany and then continue on to Washington DC where they will meet their connecting flight to their new hometown and military family.

TIP OF THE WEEK

Terry Crisp's new book,

NO BUDDY LEFT BEHIND was just released October 4th. The book brings forth the stories of animals that were befriended by U.S. troops, discovered just in the nick of time. If they had not been in the right place, at the right time, they would not be alive today and home in America with their new military family.

Obama Announces Complete Withdrawal of U.S. Forces From Iraq by End of 2011

THE GOOD NEWS

Operation BAGHDAD PUPS

Operation Baghdad Pups to the Rescue

President Obama has announced a complete withdrawal of all U.S. Troops from Iraq by the end of 2011. That means that at least 40,000 men and women will be returning home very soon. The military men and women feel very strongly about "no buddy" being left behind....and that feeling has carried over to the dog heroes that they have adopted into their units and lives while in Iraq.

Hundreds upon hundreds of dogs, cats, donkeys and others have found their way into the encampments of our fighting men and women and have served as a piece of normalcy and calm during the stress of war. They provide comfort and affection and even operate as a means to alert the soldiers to impending danger. U.S. troops in the Middle East have no way to transport home the animals they befriend in the war zone.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals INTERNATIONAL initiated a program in 2008 called OPERATION BAGHDAD PUPS whereby, through a coordinated effort, these animals COULD come home with their soldier.

To date, 282 animals have been brought

to the United States.

But NOW, more than ever, they are faced with a TIME CRUNCH and a FINANCIAL CRUNCH to aid all the soldiers requests with pet heroes that they wish to bring out of Iraq. If left, these pets face certain death. Dogs and cats are looked upon like rodents and scavengers. There are NO SHELTERS in Iraq because, unlike America, there is no social conscience regarding the humane treatment of animals.

PLEASE HELP NOW! Your donation of $20 can provide absorbent pads, food and water for a dog or cat while they travel; $75 can buy an airline crate for transport; $150 can cover the cost of vaccinations and travel paperwork.

There are many animals left to get home.

Please, it is a way to say thank you to the service men and women to allow them to keep these animals and bring them home.

Do you have a soldier with a Baghdad pet that wants to get their pet home?

Please CLICK HERE.

God Bless all of you who will SUPPORT OPERATION BAGHDAD PUPS with a DONATION right now, and will contribute to the well-being of so many lives that now hang in the balance.

This is an AMAZING read from Frank. Frank has just returned from Miami, Florida, where he attended the Society of Environmental Journalist 2011 Conference, where he enjoyed the company of Jean-Michel Cousteau, his son Fabien, daughter Celine, nephew Phillippe and niece Alexandra. He was invited to see the premiere of My Father, The Captain, a tribute to Jean-Michel's father, Jacques Cousteau. And that was only the beginning!

Christmas Cards: Why not make a gift of the healing oils of Frankincense and Myrrh

____________________________________

AncientEssence.com

We found this Catholic family operated business at the Catholic Marketing Network Conference with some truly incredible healing oils which include Frankincense and Myrrh. For the last several hundred years, holy oils have been all but hidden from the general population. Prior to this time, they were the top traded commodities along with gold and sometimes frankincense and myrrh were worth their weight in gold! This was due to their various applications from medicinal and cosmetic, to pest control. They were used abundantly as a spiritual medium to enhance a peaceful and prayerful state. It's a CHRISTMAS PRESENT that will last

all year long!
