THE GOOD NEWS
OCTOBER IS ADOPT A SHELTER PET MONTH
This is the month for you to make a difference. This is the month to find your "new" best friend who will love you unconditionally and share your life. This is the month to visit your local animal shelter and save a life!
The economic conditions across the country have more people than ever dropping their family pets off at animal shelters. Marriage, divorce, foreclosure, children, inconvenience, renting an apartment...you name it, but, the cats, dogs, birds, ferrets and others keep pouring in. The people these animals loved are giving them up in record numbers and it is through no fault of their own.
So we ask you whether young or old to seriously consider a loving shelter pet. The links below will help you LOCATE and CHOOSE the right pet for you. Take the time to educate yourself and make a decision that will guarantee you and your new animal family member a lifetime together.

STEWARD ACTIVITY

Be a responsible steward of your pet and consider TAGG for your Dog or Cat. The goal of the Tagg system isn't just to find a lost dog - it's to not lose him in the first place. The lightweight dog GPS device attaches to most collars and lets you locate and track your dog using a computer or smartphone. The simple set-up procedure allows you to create your very own Tagg zone, the area where your dog spends most of his time.
If he isn't where he's supposed to be, you'll know.
