www.WagN4U.com

Hurricane Irene has left her mark of devastation across the eastern seaboard of the United States. Both humans and animals have felt the sting of the power of nature in its violent form. That is why this week CSC recognizes an extraordinary woman,

Ines de Pablo.

She is the founder of Wag'N 4 U the first and only dedicated Pet Emergency Management Company in the World. It is a company that addresses Pet Emergency Management, by applying the concepts of all-hazards mitigation, preparedness, response & recovery to the pet world to help you make a difference in your pets' well-being.

Her extensive background in the field of emergency management, law enforcement training, EMS, risk mitigation, continuity of operations for businesses and pet safety give her the leading edge in the pet safety industry. She is certified as a Technical Large animal Rescue Technician, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Technical Rope Rescue Technician:OP Level, and is certified to join the American Humane Red Star Animal Emergency Services team and is awaiting deployment opportunities.

Her company offers the individual consumer her branded products, WagʼN Pet Safety Gear, an ever-growing collection of purposefully designed and crafted tools to help people and their pets go about their lives with peace of mind that they have the necessary tools and knowledge needed in case of an emergency.

Ines is an animal lover extraordinaire! Her company touts proudly that "We are Wag'N our tails off to make pet safety concepts all-encompassing, fun and educational to ensure you keep your pets

Wag'N No Matter What!"

GREAT JOB!!

FATHER RON'S COLUMN

How I wept when I heard Your

hymns and canticles...

~by Father Ron Camarda

Father Ron was ordained a priest on the feast day of St. Augustine, August 28th. His favorite stained glass window at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, Florida, where he was ordained, is the one in which St. Augustine is taken into ecstasy. A special gift from the Creator over the summer had Father Ron in an ecstasy of his own.

Hurricane Prepardeness

~by Mary Galvano-Bajohr

Hurricane Irene gave everyone on the eastern seaboard a scare. Mary is a hurricane survivor of Hurricane Charley which swept through Port Charlotte in 2004, and she has a great tip for hurricane preparedness. On her mind this week is the holy Hurricane Prayer. We can all put this one on our refrigerators and pray it daily through the rest of the season.

STEWARD JOE

St. Athanasius

~by Joseph Kaiser

Our resident theologian, Joe Kaiser is such a delight! A more positive devout disciple of Jesus you'll never meet. So, it stands to reason that a saint who was devoted to the Divinity of Jesus Christ would catch Joe's spiritual eye. This month's column is a must read for all Catholics, as it journeys back to the earliest years of the Church and focuses on a mighty champion of the faith.

GOOD BOOKS

September's Recommended Read

~by Michele Gregoire

A cat that can foretell impending death in seriously ill patients? Michele Gregoire, our resident book reviewer has an engaging look at just such a cat. Because the book is written by the medical doctor that witnessed to the cat's extraordinary capabilities of holding vigil at the bedside of patients who were dying, makes the credibility of the observation authentic, lending to the miraculous workings of something beyond this world. Animals doing extraordinary things-is always a sign of "God in the moment."

THE ART OF LIFE

Monks Corner

www.MonksCorner.org

We met Brother Philip, O.S. B.

of the Benedictine Abbey in Cleveland, Ohio while attending the Catholic Writers Conference in Philadelphia. He was presenting his beautiful "stained-glass" creations at the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show.

We highly recommend his work!! Many items are made individually and are personally engraved with a name and date. These items are made with the Benedictine Motto in mind- "Ora et Labora" Prayer and Work. You can be assured that hours of prayer and work go into their products before and after you receive them. You will be remembered in their daily prayers as a benefactor to their Abbey by the donation made for the product you receive.

UPCOMING EVENTS

OCTOBER 2nd: In honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, Susi Pittman will be having a BOOK SIGNING at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Florida. 9AM -1PM following all Masses. Personally signed copies of ANIMALS IN HEAVEN? CATHOLICS WANT TO KNOW! by the author and a special sale of all St. Francis items will be available at the St. Joseph Gift Shop.
