The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure. ~THOMAS JEFFERSON
HAPPY 4th of JULY:
Remembering that "freedom" isn't free!
We would like to present for your 4th of July commemoration, a look at the ONLY Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence. We present a great article from THE CATHOLIC REVIEW that was republished by Catholic Online with permission of The Catholic Review, the official publication of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Md.
Charles Carroll
It is recorded that 57% of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Anglicans. Just this week, some extraordinary news as the first Anglican Church in America, St. Luke's Church in Bladensburg, Maryland, is reconciling with Rome and returning to the Catholic Church.

THE GOOD NEWS
Patriot PAWS Service Dogs
www.PatriotPaws.org
What better week to spotlight an animal organization that truly reflects a mission of such profound significance to both animal and patriot, than one that has seized as its mission uniting disabled ex-patriots and veterans with a companion service dog to aid in life's journey.
Patriot PAWS Service Dogs is just that.
It was founded in February 2006, by Lori Stevens, a certified pet dog trainer, along with her co-founder Beau, her black Labrador "teaching dog." Lori saw through her experiences a personal passion in training service dogs to assist America's disabled veterans. Be sure to check out the heartwarming video below
of her dogs and their vets.

The services of the dog depend on the need of the veteran. Helping with chores, retrieving, as well as assistance with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are just a few of the abilities of these loving animals. The pictures on the website that highlight the bond of love and trust that is shared between dog and owner is palatable.
Patriot PAWS is located in Rockwall, Texas, and can certainly use volunteers at their training center.
They most certainly can use your "tax deductible" DONATIONS for the tremendous work they are doing for those men and women who assure us that freedom continues to ring in this great country!
