In the midst of those wonders we discover the voice of the Creator, transmitted by heaven and earth, day and night: a language "without words whose sound is heard," capable of crossing all frontiers. ~ Blessed John Paul II

THE GOOD NEWS
American Rivers
www.americanrivers.org
American Rivers was founded in 1973, and has become the leading conservation organization for the preservation and protection of America's rivers. Their incredible work has help to restore rivers, revived wildlife with a healthier habitat and renewed local economies.
Each year they sponsor the National River Clean Up Program which has merited over 100,000 river and stream miles being cleaned, yielding over 1,000 tons of trash. You can quickly reference their national map and see what is happening in your region and who to get in touch with.
Currently, they are spearheading 21st Century green infrastructure solutions that enhance heath, safety and the quality of life. They address five different critical areas of concern and have generated tremendous success in awareness and accomplishment in these areas.
These concerns are:
Rivers and Global Warning-Restoring Rivers-Protecting Rivers-Clean Water-Water Supply
If you care about our American rivers and the quality of water they bring to our people, please consider getting involved as an
American Rivers advocate.
And don't forget to
support their outstanding work!
