In the midst of those wonders we discover the voice of the Creator, transmitted by heaven and earth, day and night: a language "without words whose sound is heard," capable of crossing all frontiers. ~ Blessed John Paul II |

THE GOOD NEWS
RETURN TO FREEDOM
American Wild Horse Sanctuary
www.returntofreedom.org
There is no animal more beautiful than a horse running freely! It encapsulates the authentic beauty of the natural realm and certainly denotes in its presence its inherent nobility. The horse inspires us to look up and not by chance. It has been mentioned by name many times in the Bible.
RETURN TO FREEDOM is a magnificent organization dedicated to providing sanctuary to wild horses and burros which would otherwise meet cruel ends and recently received a three year financial commitment from the ASPCA.
The Mission Statement of RETURN TO FREEDOM is: Return To Freedom is dedicated to preserving the freedom, diversity and habitat of America's wild horses through sanctuary, education and conservation, while enriching the human spirit through direct experience with the natural world.
Located in Lompoc, California, RETURN TO FREEDOM offers "nature's classroom" to visitors, as they are educated in the conservation and preservation efforts that the organization offers. They learn about preserving natural herds, non-hormonal birth control methods, habitat preservation and ways to help the horses and burros.
The center offers Living History Tours, Youth Programs and Retreats offering unique opportunities for people to come into the natural realm of wild horses and burros.
The only hope for America's wild horses is the AMERICAN people. We ask that you SUPPORT RETURN TO FREEDOM'S CAUSE by visiting their website and considering a donation.

FATHER RON'S COLUMN
"Only An Hour"
Losing everything...a story from Father's youth
~by Father Ron Camarda
My mother wrote this short story when we were living in Winchester, MA in the late 1960's. At the time she had 5 boys and 2 girls all under the age of 12 years. I found this story recently at my dad's house. It is written with an old fashion typewriter. I share it in order to be a good steward of farm life in the 1930's in Vermont. The role of animals is quite evident. This "hour" was horrific, but my mother would never have met my father
had it not occurred.

Rick loves marine life! His love of sea turtles is well known in his circle of art. He uses this little creature to pose an analogous question that you most assuredly can answer.
(NOTE: Rick painted this picture this past week and created his message before he was to learn that his son's home burned in a terrible fire. The family is safe, but mourn the loss of
their beloved cat)
